The game INI configuration files are not touched and instead MO2 uses it's own set. This way mods are only "active" if the game is started from MO2, while if it's started normally it will be in it's "vanilla" unmodded state. Simply extract it on top of your previous MO2 install or in an empty folder (far away from the game folder). If I try to use the "Mod Manager Download" button on any mod, I'll get a prompt asking me to associate MO with Nexus links, and if I click Yes on it, it'll tell me there's no handler found.

Jan 28, 2018 · Manual download works fine. Steps to reproduce: Restarted computer, started NMM (up to date), logged into NMM and Nexus (Premium member), tried downloading again. Expected result: Download starts. Actual result: Download does not start. UPDATE: Rolled back to previous version of NMM, download links are working fine.

Nexus Mod Manager is not only not recommended, it is also not supported by the TTW team (it's full of problems and abandoned by Nexus). FOMM (Fallout Mod Manager) is old but it still works. MO1 should work too, but MO2 is better. Vortex (the "Nexus Mods" successor to NMM) seems to work with TTW too. But the recommended mod manager is MO2. Now that I've finished the new Dragon Age game (for now), I wanted to come back to Skyrim and check out some mods I've been meaning to install. Unfortunately, even though I'm logged in both on the Nexus website and on the Mod Manager, anytime I try to "download with manager," nothing happens.
